Can you dig it? The K2 Excavator Snowboard is the trench digger of short-fat snowboards. The Excavator provides a damp ride and feels very planted on the snow. The directional shape will still allow you to make quick slashes and move through tight trees but what really separates the Excavator from the rest of the pack is its ability to carve. And by carving we mean locking into an arced turn so powerfully and aggressively, you make the mountain bleed. The wider profile lets you set a high edge angle and flex the board through the entire turn. The Excavator caters to advanced riders to carve on groomers and float in soft snow. Inside the board, a smooth flexing S1Core keeps things responsive but torsionally relaxed, while an ICG 10 Biax Glass technology with tip-to-tail carbon stringers helps provide snap over the entire length of the board. K2 also added pre-cambered Carbon Power Forks in the tail to help for an energy boost in and out of turns and for those spontaneous Ollies. All of this tech is sandwiched between a fast Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 Base, supremely durable P-Tex sidewalls, and a snow-shedding SnoPhobic Topsheet that keeps the whole package fast and light.
