2027 Fischer Ranger 90 Skis

2027 Fischer Ranger 90 Skis

The 2027 Fischer Ranger 90 is a highly useful ski that blends many attributes for solid on-trail performance and all-mountain versatility. An approachable ski for a broad range of skier types, the 90 is stable and composed on groomers, bumps, trees, steeps, and even a bit of fresh snow. Because of its versatility and approachability, the Ranger 90 is one that should never be overlooked as a daily driver.

Why we like it:

The versatile and well-roundedness of this all-mountain ski is what stands out to us as it can be such a useful tool for so many skiers regardless of where you do most of your skiing.

Who it's for:

Progressing intermediates or less aggressive all-mountain skiers who need a swiss army knife of a ski that can be depended on anywhere anytime.

Highlights:

Differentiating from the wider Ranger skis, the 90 gets a full poplar wood core which keeps the weight down while still providing tons of energy and stability. Shaped Ti 0.5 laminates underfoot that protrude into the extremities of the ski assist with vibration damping as well as torsional stiffness for edge grip and composure on firmer snow. In order to keep the flex even and predictable, Fischer cuts triangular sections of metal out in between the toe and heel pieces of the bindings to allow a more even flex underfoot. Sandwich Sidewall Construction brings all these elements together with a full-length sidewall to boost power transfer directly to the edges for increased carving performance. Freeski Rocker profile allows for quick and easy maneuvering in both soft snow as well as on firm and groomed snow.

Things to consider:

The Ranger 90 does not have beech in its core like some of the wider Ranger skis which means that is a touch softer in flex. Skiers looking for top end carving performance or high-speed stability have better options in the ~ 90 mm all-mountain category that has more vibration damping and a sturdier flex pattern.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size.
