2027 Blizzard Rustler Team Jr Skis

2027 Blizzard Rustler Team Jr Skis

The 2026 Blizzard Rustler Team Jr is the youth version of Blizzard's freeride Rustler line, a wider freeride-leaning ski for groms ready to graduate from groomer-focused junior skis. Built with a full woodcore, it brings real freeride character to a junior platform.

Why we like it:

Most junior freeride skis water down the personality of their adult counterparts, but the Rustler Team Jr keeps the freeride DNA front and center. The wider 90-mm waist and full woodcore give it a real all-mountain feel that prepares kids for the adult Rustler line down the road.

Who it's for:

Junior freeride skiers and aggressive young rippers. Best for groms who already ski the whole mountain with confidence, kids in deeper-snow regions who want a wider junior ski, and skiers ready to tackle softer snow and bigger terrain.

Highlights:

The Rustler Team Jr uses a full woodcore construction, which is a step up from the composite cores typical of standard junior skis. That wood core gives the ski a more refined feel underfoot with better edge connection and more consistent flex behavior. Dynamic Release Technology is the construction approach Blizzard uses to deliver a ski that flexes naturally and releases turns smoothly under junior loads. The freeride-derived shape combines a rockered tip, camber underfoot, and rockered tail with a 90-mm waist that gives kids real soft-snow capability and freestyle-friendly versatility. Suggested binding pairing is the Marker Royal, which fits the ski's freeride personality. The lengths from 132 to 164 cm cover advancing junior skiers through into adult-equivalent sizes.

Things to consider:

The wider waist and freeride personality make this less suited to kids whose skiing is mostly groomer-based. Smaller or less-experienced skiers would also be better served by a narrower, easier ski like the Pearl Jr or Anomaly Jr.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to length. Pick the length that matches your child's height and ability, or size up if they ski aggressively in bigger terrain.
