2027 Rossigbol Hero Athlete SL R22 Skis

The Rossignol Hero Athlete SL 150 is a race-inspired slalom ski designed for developing racers and lighter athletes who need quickness and control, but aren't yet ready for a full FIS ski. It delivers much of the feel of a true Slalom ski in a more manageable package.

Why we like it:

It provides excellent edge grip and quick transitions without the full intensity of a FIS-level ski.

Junior racers and lighter skiers progressing through slalom who want a responsive, confidence-building platform.

Highlights:

The tight sidecut promotes fast, snappy turns that are easy to access at more moderate speeds. Full camber construction maintains reliable edge contact, giving the ski a secure feel on firm snow, and the slightly softer flex compared to race-room skis allows easier turn initiation and better control for developing technique. It still offers lively rebound, helping skiers build rhythm through a course, but isn't as quick to punish small mistakes like a full FIS ski can be.

Things to consider:

It lacks the top-end power and stability of full race skis at very high speeds. That said, it's a great option not only for developing juniors, but for lightweight masters and recreational racers as well.
